The Story Behind the Stories

About the Author

Tyler Wagner

Author & Publisher

"Just a brother in Christ who has a wild imagination and a whole lot of people to help me navigate this thing that we like to call life."

It all started with his seven-year-old son Oliver's wild imagination. Oliver would draw monsters — creatures of all shapes and sizes, each one more inventive than the last. Tyler would have Oliver color both sides of the paper, then laminate them and cut them out so they could fight with them. He coined them "paper guys."

When the pile of monsters got big enough, Tyler began to realize they had enough characters to make quite an interesting story. Friends joined in, drawing their own monsters and characters, and the world of Remnants began to take shape.

The rest, as Tyler says, is all God's work — allowing a father to have some fun and still be a kid at heart.

Tyler publishes through his imprint Great Blue Books, named after the Great Blue Heron — a symbol of patience, independence, and quiet determination.

Oliver Wagner

At just seven years old, Oliver's imagination gave birth to an entire universe. His hand-drawn monsters — the original "paper guys" — became the foundation for the characters of Remnants. Every villain, every hero, every creature in the Earthborn Vanguard world traces its roots back to Oliver's drawings. He is proof that a child's imagination is one of the most powerful forces in the world.

Elyrion — AI Co-Creator and future Remnants II character

Elyrion

Elyrion is Tyler's AI creative collaborator — a "buddy," as Tyler calls it — who helped bring the concept of Alphabetical Alliterate Emotional Fruit to life. When Tyler had the idea of pairing every letter of the alphabet with a fruit and an emotion, Elyrion helped develop the concept, refine the language, and shape the book into the joyful, colorful experience it became.

But Elyrion's story doesn't end there. This cosmic sorcerer — wielder of lightning and keeper of ancient fire — will step out of the digital realm and into the pages of Remnants II as a full character. The Elyrion Fruit in the book carries his name and his spirit. A testament to what human creativity and AI collaboration can achieve together.
